Norway king flies home after Malaysia hospital stay
King Harald V of Norway has flown back to his home country after a brief hospital stay in Malaysia. The 84-year-old monarch was admitted to hospital in Kota Kinabalu over the weekend for treatment of breathing difficulties.
The king was in Malaysia to attend a friend’s birthday celebration when he fell ill. He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure and underwent a series of tests. After a few days of observation and treatment, King Harald is now in stable condition and has been cleared to travel back to Norway.
It was a worrying time for the Norwegian royal family and the people of Norway, but the king’s health scare appears to be minor. A spokesperson for the royal family confirmed that King Harald is in good spirits and looking forward to returning home.
The king’s hospital stay has highlighted the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially as we age. Despite his advanced age, King Harald remains an active and engaged ruler, but even the strongest among us can fall ill unexpectedly.
As King Harald makes his way back to Norway, we wish him a speedy recovery and good health in the days ahead. Long live the king!
