N Korea hacked S Korea chip firms, Seoul says
According to reports from Seoul, North Korea has hacked several South Korean chip firms in an attempt to steal intellectual property and gain a competitive advantage in the global technology market.
The cyber attacks are believed to be part of North Korea’s ongoing efforts to develop its own semiconductor industry and reduce its dependence on foreign technology.
South Korean authorities are currently investigating the extent of the hacking and working to strengthen their cyber security measures to prevent future attacks.
As tensions between the two countries continue to escalate, experts warn that cyber warfare could become an increasingly common tactic used by North Korea to target South Korean companies and government entities.
