Alleged Red Army Faction member held after 30 years
After evading capture for over 30 years, an alleged member of the notorious Red Army Faction has finally been apprehended by authorities. The Red Army Faction, also known as the Baader-Meinhof Group, was a left-wing militant organization that operated in Germany during the 1970s and 1980s.
The suspect, who has been identified as Klaus Schlotterbeck, was arrested in a small town in southern Germany following a tip-off from an anonymous source. Schlotterbeck is believed to have been involved in a number of violent acts attributed to the Red Army Faction, including bombings and assassinations.
Authorities have been hunting Schlotterbeck for decades, but he had managed to stay one step ahead of them by constantly changing his identity and moving from place to place. His capture has brought a sense of closure to the families of the victims of the Red Army Faction’s attacks, many of whom have been waiting for justice for years.
Schlotterbeck is currently being held in custody while the investigation into his alleged crimes continues. It remains to be seen what charges he will face and what further revelations his arrest may bring to light about the activities of the Red Army Faction.
