Surgeon claims Bath’s RUH ‘covered up’ patient blinding

A surgeon at Bath’s Royal United Hospital (RUH) has made shocking allegations that the hospital covered up a case where a patient was left blinded following a routine surgery.

The surgeon, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal, claims that the patient underwent a cataract removal surgery at the hospital, but due to negligence on the part of the medical staff, the patient lost their sight in both eyes.

According to the surgeon, instead of acknowledging the mistake and offering appropriate care and support to the patient, the hospital management decided to sweep the incident under the rug and hide it from the public.

The surgeon has since come forward with this information in the hopes of bringing justice to the patient and shedding light on the dangerous practices that may be taking place at the RUH.

The hospital has yet to make an official statement regarding these allegations, but this case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of transparency and accountability in the medical field.
