Former Canadian PM Brian Mulroney dies at 84
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney at the age of 84. Mulroney served as the 18th Prime Minister of Canada from 1984 to 1993, leading the country through a period of significant economic and political change.
During his time in office, Mulroney oversaw the negotiation of the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement and the North American Free Trade Agreement, which helped to shape the modern Canadian economy. He also played a key role in the fight against apartheid in South Africa and the signing of the Meech Lake Accord, which aimed to bring Quebec into the Canadian constitution.
After leaving office, Mulroney remained active in public life, serving on various corporate boards and continuing to advocate for causes close to his heart. He was known for his charisma, wit, and dedication to public service.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mulroney’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be remembered as a statesman, a leader, and a true champion of his country.
