O’Connor Estate Denies Trump Music Use

O’Connor’s estate asks Trump not to use her music

The estate of the late Irish singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor has requested that former President Donald Trump refrain from using her music at his events.

Following reports that Trump had used O’Connor’s hit song “Nothing Compares 2 U” during a recent rally, the estate issued a statement expressing their dismay at the unauthorized use of her music.

“Sinead was a passionate advocate for social justice and human rights, and it is deeply disrespectful to her legacy for her music to be associated with a figure like Donald Trump,” the statement read.

The estate is considering legal action to prevent Trump from using O’Connor’s music in the future.

It is not the first time that musicians have objected to Trump using their music without permission. Artists such as Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, and Tom Petty have all spoken out against the use of their songs at his events.
